FAQs
For your first few classes, all you need is sportswear. When you join the club, included in your membership, you will receive a gi (training outfit) and your own nunchucks.
Each student learns at their own pace, but if you train and practice enough, you will improve rapidly.
Nunchaku classes are safe for everyone. When students begin fighting, they should wear a helmet which are provided at the Nunchaku dojo. It is recommended that male students should wear a groin guard and female students should wear a chest protector, although not compulsory.
As Nunchaku grows as a sport, competitions will become more frequent. Once students become proficient in either combat or freestyle, we may look into entering both national and international competitions.
Gradings are usually every 12 weeks. Training more may mean that students can grade faster.
